Evite, the world’s leading digital platform, is looking for a passionate and diligent Day Porter or Facilities Technician to join our team in Los Angeles. Purpose: The Day Porter or Facilities Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall aesthetic appearance, cleanliness, functionality and general enjoyment of our busy tech office environment to support a high performing team, including but not limited to attending to open spaces, restrooms, common areas, meeting rooms and a large kitchen/pantry area.

The candidate must possess effective communication skills and be a cultural fit. This individual should be driven by a sense of pride in keeping the workspace clean, well-organized and operating at high performance capacity.   • Maintain overall aesthetic appearance and organization of an open office space, including common areas, meeting areas, kitchen and various storage spaces.
  • Perform light maintenance, cleaning and repairs as needed specifically for non-tech-related items (chairs, tables, sofas, clocks, replace light bulbs, etc.).
  • Collaborate with IT staff to maintain streamlined, functional meeting spaces and maintain and ensure availability of non-technical elements for meetings: white boards, cable management, supplies and related.
  • Work as a liaison with building custodial staff and submit online work-orders for repairs and general cleaning provided by building management and staff.
  • Work as a liaison with vendors who provide regular service and maintenance for various office items such as water cooler, coffee machines, plumbing and plant service.
  • Maintain supply stocks for kitchen snacks and general office needs.
  • Function as a shipping and receiving center point of contact for all deliveries to the office and occasional shipments and delivery drop-offs.
  • Train for and assist organizing Emergency Response Training for three multi-state office locations as well as maintain all emergency supplies and equipment current.
  • Assemble non-commercial grade shelving, tables, chairs, and other furnishings.
  • Assist with setting up furniture and additional seating or table space for parties, special events, new hires, visitors and company-wide presentations.
  • Run occasional errands as needed within walking distance of our downtown Los Angeles location.
  • Remove overflow trash to loading dock dumpster, as needed.

MUST HAVE ability to perform light maintenance, repairs and cleaning to industry standards, individually and in partnership with third party vendors.
MUST HAVE ability to recognize and identify needs as they arise and proactively prioritize and timely solve for those needs.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years direct experience in facilities maintenance or operations, production assistant, office management or hospitality environments.
  • Experience at a mid to large size company.
  • A team player and solid contributor.
  • Ability to step in and assist beyond general responsibilities.
  • Ability to take initiative and be proactive vs. reactive.
  • Availability to primarily work 7am to 4pm Pacific Time, with schedule adjustments, as needed.
  • Ability to lift 35lbs.
